ABOUT ALYX JONES
Ever since I was a little girl receiving her first GameBoy, I've been fascinated and entranced with the power of video games. When I first picked up a guitar as a teenager, I was drawn to music as a means of expressing myself, when I had no words for anything I was feeling.
When I stood in the corridors of Abbey Road on a College trip, I knew I could only ever work in audio and when I realised GAMES had audio, it's the only thing I've pursued since, and I can't imagine doing anything else.
I particularly like to write atmospheric, emotive music for leftfield, artistic games, because they provide a powerful platform to explore deep issues in a creative and meaningful way, something I aim to express in my music.
I currently work at Liquid Violet in London as a Dialogue Editor on AAA titles and I am also Head Writer at The Sound Architect, specialising in game audio and game/sound related event coverage.
